It has more of the feel of the actual music as if someone was actually playing it instead of the notation playback. Vinyl LP including My Mama Told Me So and Feeling Funky, It should be the one at the top of my page: 'Spiral Knights title theme'. I think it’s something that more creatives should strive to do whenever they can.THE CRUSADERS Those Southern Knights (1976 UK 7-track I love it when composers can make something that doesn’t work on paper actually work. The chill tone paradoxically doesn’t take away from the intensity of the moment, yet still keeps you calm the whole time. But there are other places where you’ll battle some and the music stays the same. Now, the song does change if you end up in a specific room where you fight a horde of foes. Considering Spiral Knights, I’m assuming you’d be a wintery themed area, exploring as you normally do, while still fighting off enemies. In the case of this particular song, I couldn’t tell when or where it played, or what exactly happened when it did. I’ve certainly played titles like that, and it makes me appreciate a soundtrack that has thought, time, energy, and creativity put into it. ![]() Or in other cases, the music fits in the context of the game, but doesn’t make for good listening material outside of that source. You’ll notice when a game fumbles its score. The soundtrack is as equally important as every other element. The droning seems to become less threatening when we’re more focused on the electronic beeps and boops, and the synthetic-sounding strings, and the twinkling noise that comes across as a sparkly snowfall.įor me, it’s stuff like this that goes to show just how dependent a game experience really is on its music. And yes, the pun is completely intentional, but the track really is very soft and soothing. They overtake the droning in the back, letting it become the base of the song while they carry the different tunes and notes. Today’s track is no exception.Įven though part of the opening could almost sound a bit ominous, the happy marimba (or maybe xylophone) strikes out a melody for us to follow before we get the full instrumentation. The style is very chill, and kind of like lo-fi, in a weird way? I dunno, the music somehow manages to be a happy place all on its own. Is there a soundtrack for this game Was playing for about an hour and found that the music in the game was pretty good compared to other mmorpgs. I’ve shared a couple of tracks from it in the past, both “Cradle” and “Forgotten Castle.” The soundtrack is just super relaxing to listen to. Spiral Knights soundtrack SleepyHead 11 years ago 1. One of the things that makes SK so cozy-feeling is, of course, the OST. ![]() But that’s the impression both games gave me when playing. It’s hard to explain, and I’m not entirely sure if it makes sense. It was a fantastical adventure game that somehow felt cozy at the same time. Even though it’s nothing like it at all, SK gave me LEGO Universe vibes. I don’t play it much anymore, but it was one of the first games I ever got on Steam (largely due to the fact that it was free, but it also looked like a lot of fun). I have very fond memories of Spiral Knights.
